Dear President Bush,
The government devoted several years and millions of Dollars to the investigation, trial and conviction of Al Petty. Although the W-2 1099 tax forms issued by Al Petty to his employees and his Telecom2000 business owners called for the government to receive millions per year in taxes, the government has been supporting Al Petty for over five years in prison, thus robbing itself of millions of dollars per year in taxes on the exponential growth of the Telecom2000 network. This based on over $50,000,000 generated annually by Al Petty prior to the governments seizure of our funds that leads to this.
I realize that the following "Statement of Facts" will require several minutes to digest, and possibly several hours to verify. However, please consider that the government devoted years and millions of Dollars to their successful efforts to incarcerate Al Petty, resulting in effect to their, "Robbing Peter to Pay Peter and Robbing Paul to Pay Paul", in effect, robbing Themselves, as well as us business owners of Millions, even Billions of Dollars.
Therefore, I plead with you to make the time to carefully consider my, (our) Statement of Facts.
Statement of FactsMy signature confirms the following "Statement of Facts" regarding my business relationship with Al Petty - Telecom2000 Network.
1) I was a Telecom2000 business owner.
2) The TeleCom2000 Network was a network of business owners created and operated by Al Petty in Overton, Texas.
3) The TeleCom2000 Network was a legitimate business, offering a variety of TeleCom services, including, but not limited to:
a) Long distance services for land line and cell phone use.
b) Cell phones and accessories.
c) A complex marketing service, created by Al Petty and based on Digital Technology, of which he is a pioneer. This revolutionary Fiscal System offered by Al Petty, the opportunity to achieve his stated goal of enabling the "Common Man and Woman" to acquire true financial independence. Many of the TeleCom2000 Business owners achieved financial security prior to the seizure of our funds by the Federal Courts on April 4, 2002. I have every reason to believe that 100% of the business owners would have acquired financial independence if the federal government had not shut Al Petty down.
4) Prior to the seizure of our funds on April 4th, 2002, every contractual agreement I had with Al Petty-TeleCom2000 was fulfilled on or before the date specified in Al Pettys exclusive "Pre-Programmed Auto-Pay system including:
A) Cell Phone service reimbursement checks,
B) Long Distance reimbursement checks, as well as
C) My TeleCom2000 marketing commissions.
D) "Quick Cash" working Capital, as qualified.
5) I was never misled, deceived, lied to or defrauded by Al Petty. I know of not one of the 3000 TeleCom2000 Business Owners who feels that Al Petty defrauded them.
6) To my knowledge, every business owner who testified at the trial as well as every business owner interviewed by the government, testified that Al Petty was a totally honest business man, who created and operated a revolutionary system of TeleCom products, services and digital marketing. I believe that this concept could have and should have enhanced the lives of millions of deserving "Common Folk" citizens.
7) In Fact, every phase of the exhaustive process of purchase that was required of each prospective business owner, prior to acceptance by Al Petty was recorded, including every conversation, (live, phone, fax, e-mail) and logged in Al Petty's exhaustive data base and computer files. Even, according to F.B.I. agent James Hersley, “Everything was in the computers".
8) During Al Petty's trial, when business owners were referred to as" Victims of Al Petty" the transcripts prove that almost every witness, including business owners, who were subpoenaed by the government as witnesses, rebuked the government by testifying, in effect , "Yes I Am a victim, but I am not Al Petty's victim, You took my money and my business! I want it back! I am your (the government's) victim."
9) No law was presented as broken by Al Petty. Before his incarceration, his 70 year lifetime had been devoted to upholding the laws of our nation. There were no prior charges, violations or even accusations.
10) The government completely disregarded the fact that there was absolutely no evidence of, conspiracy for, or intent to, commit any crime. The jury was stacked with jurors who were government dependent, as well as opposed to Al Petty's Christian Faith. Al Petty taught God's word & gave concerts regularly on two Christian networks and these jurors convicted him of 98 counts of fraud and money laundering after being misled by the prosecution.
11) The government then enhanced those 98 unproven counts by adding over twenty additional years to the sentence given to Al Petty, an innocent American citizen. The 24.5 year sentence given to Al Petty at 70 years of age exceeded his life expectancy of 77 years by 17 years. In effect, Al Petty, although having committed no crime, received a "de-facto sentence of Death in Prison"! Although these twenty years of enhancements to his sentence have now been declared illegal by the Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit Court maintains that the Supreme Court's ruling is not retroactive and does not apply to Al Petty.
12) The Trial transcripts published on the website: www.alpettytrial.com show that the prosecution collaborated with their "Expert witness" to testify to half truths and false statements to influence this (stacked) jury to believe that, although no crime had been committed, conspired, nor intended, that Al Petty would, (prophetically), defraud someone unless he was "put away for life", so he was given a "de-facto" death in prison sentence. One of their most outrageous and outright lies, was a Fraud figure of $ 490,000,000,000 (four hundred ninety billion over a 20 year period, concocted by the prosecution and reiterated by their "Expert witness".
Please, President Bush, make the time to examine these truths regarding the total innocence of any crime by Al Petty. If you, in your mind and heart, feel, as we who know him both personally and professionally feel, that he should serve no more time than the "five plus" years he has already served, please bless me, Our Nation, Al Petty and the Kingdom of God by granting an expedient Pardon to Al Petty.
