Dear Mr. President,
One of the reasons that I, and I'm certain , millions of other citizens, voted for you in 2000 was our strong desire to see a cleaning up and production of a true "Justice Department ". Unfortunately, although I'm sure that you tried, this did not come about. We, after a disgraceful political display, did get an Attorney General put in place, but nothing else changed. It remained “business as usual” for the career opportunists in their anti-citizen positions. A preponderance of these so-called justice employees shows an utter disdain for any semblance of truth. This certainly is apparent in their statements and their everyday conduct.
Couple this group (prosecutors), with the full funding of the federal government and the citizen has no chance for justice. He is offered a plea bargain. "Lie and plead guilty to a minor charge for a minor sentence, or be persecuted for the audacity of proclaiming his innocence." He has no chance for justice. Even when he is tried by a jury of his peers, the jury is lied to, shown false evidence, given vague suppositions and very imaginative lies by paid witnesses and unjust instructions by federal judges. Honest testimony by legitimate businessmen is too often ruled out in favor of a liar's credentials.
I am certain that the following is not an isolated case, but I refer to a particular case with which I am very familiar; That of Al Petty, an honest Christian man whose only crime was that of being efficient, effective and caring, who shared his abilities and profits with his associates and who, as a reward for his kindness, received a "defacto" sentence of "Death" in prison. Although the prosecution was unable to prove even one of their false charges, they got a guilty verdict, on a theory, that in the future he could fail and someone could lose money. This took place while public companies were being plundered and their investors TRULY victimized. Not ONE of Al Petty's associates complained and all who were allowed attested to his honesty and innocence.
There is a website available to you and the world, www.alpettytrial.com, which exposes all of the above listed violations of true justice by these bureaucrats. Transcripts of the trial show that without a doubt this was an ego trip by prosecutors, aided by a federal judge, a so called defense attorney and a paid “Expert Witness". This prosecution came about simply because the victim (defendant), as a Christian, chose not to lie by pleading guilty and allowing the prosecutor to steal the funds belonging to his membership, but opted for a trial by jury. For this affront to corruption, he was charged with 98 counts of mail and wire fraud, money laundering because of a donation of his own earnings to a church, using electronic transfers to pay his obligations and other modern, efficient business practices.
Once they had their conviction, the prosecution went to work with the judge and probation officer on charges that Al Petty was not on trial for, i.e. fabricated charges that were not in his indictment. This activity unjustly added about twenty years to Al Petty's sentence. For a man nearly 70 years of age, they concocted a term of TWENTY FOUR YEARS. This is in excess of a term for MURDER!
Apparently, at this time we can't find justice in this case, but it at least is worthy of a presidential pardon. This would be TRUE Justice. This man has already had six years and his whole life’s work stolen by a corrupt group of bureaucrats. Please do not allow this miscarriage of justice to endure any longer.
