    First let me give you a Praise Report and tell you how much I appreciate your prayers and faith. As you may recall, on May 23rd last year I had open heart surgery. I had a double heart bypass, as well as a pacemaker installed. Recently, during a meal in the chow hall, an inmate joined me that I did not recognize. He asked how I was feeling, regarding my surgery. I told him that, praise the Lord, I was feeling good and that all was well. Then he told me that he was in the hospital for heart surgery at the same time I was. That, after seeing what was happening with me, he refused the surgery. He said that he was talking to some of the staff right after I left. They told him that they had done everything they could to get the hospital to keep me longer because I was in no condition to leave the hospital and return to prison. They agreed that it would be a miracle if I lived 2 days after leaving the hospital. Well, God is still in the "miracle working business". As emailed you after I was able to be "up and about", the surgery was virtually "taking your life, then bringing you back to life". But, thanks to your faith and prayers, I recovered miraculously and am feeling very good and, considering all factors, I'm accomplishing a lot. Please accept my sincere appreciation for your faith and prayers.

    I just finished reading one of the few books that I've read in the last 30 years, other than the Bible. I highly recommend  this book, THE INNOCENT MAN, the first non-fiction book written by John Grishom, (an attorney and writer of 18 best selling books), I recommend it to anyone interested in my case, as well as what happened to 3,000 persons like you and me in TeleCom2000. Without going into the details, my biography is being written at this time by an extremely capable writer who was a cellie of mine. I'll keep you posted on his progress. The writer is following the pattern utilized by John Grishom in writing "The Innocent Man", as is applicable, to write my biography.

    I was especially "struck" by a statement in the book that, in effect, said "Prosecutors know that they can get a jury to convict an innocent person if they can SHOCK the jury enough with charges against the defendant. It matters not whether the charges are true or false!" This was EXACTLY what the prosecution and "expert witness" did that caused you and 3,000 persons to be robbed as well as to give me a sentence of 24 1/2 years in prison, (a defacto sentence of "death in prison" since the sentence exceeds my life expectancy by 14 or 15 years!) I don't know if you recall but the prosecution gave up on finding even one person that could say that I misrepresented any aspect of TeleCom2000. They could find not ONE contract, of THOUSANDS, that I defaulted on! Neither could they find one law that I had broken or one crime that I committed!

    So, if I broke no law, nor harmed one TeleCom2000 Business Owner, how did the prosecution get the jury to return a guilty verdict? They resorted to using FALSE "Shock Therapy" on the Jury, and convinced them that, although I had committed no crime nor had I harmed one person, that they should lock me away for life because I would, SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE, harm someone if they allowed me to remain a free man! The "expert witness", Cunningham, conspired with the prosecutor and came up with a "jury shocking lie" of $920,000,000,000, (Nine Hundred twenty BILLION dollars!) That's almost a "Federal Budget figure" of a TRILLION dollars! Briefly, this is how they miscalculated our TeleCom2000 business and shocked the Jury into convicting me:

    As you may remember, our basic contracts were all for a period of only 6 months. Although I paid long distance and cell phone bills for up to 2 years, for example the commission Business Owners were guaranteed for getting a new person to listen to the toll free number and then become a TeleCom2000 Business Owner was $3,625., paid in FULL according to our "exclusive SIX MONTH autopay schedule" contract agreement. On the other contracts, all of your commissions were paid in full in 6 months, then TeleCom2000 continued paying your long distance and cell phone bills for as long as 1 or 2 years on the contracts, (depending on the configuration of your purchases).('scuse me for bringing up these "Precious Memories !"-hurts me too.) The bottom line is that over 90% of your contracts were due to be paid in full during a SIX MONTH PERIOD. Although she knew this full well, Tracy Kenner, the prosecutor; and "Prof. Wm. Cunningham", the expert "Con Artist-Witness" came up with this shocker: Although all commission contracts were paid in full in six months, and although there was NO obligation from Telecom2000 to renew the contract, or pay any additional residuals, Cunningham;

     1) Used a base figure that was 94% inaccurate to describe the total amount of commissions that would be due in 6 months. (note: A conservative "growth projection chart" that the judge refused to allow me to enter as evidence showed that TeleCom2000 would earn $96M during the next 6 months while being contractually obligated to pay only pay some $36M in commissions during that time. Then after the 6 months, TeleCom2000 was obligated to pay no further commissions.)

    2) Then Cunningham lied to the jury that I was obligated to renew every contract for another 6 months after the 6 month contract was fulfilled. You all know that was not true.

    3) Cunningham then exponentially multiplied that false base figure, extending it in multiples through-I believe-for as long as 20 years or more. (For example; $5 X 5= $25; $25 X 25= $625; $625 X 625= $390,625; $390 X $390,625=---- and on and on!) He displayed these figures from his computer, (you remember that I wasn't even allowed by my "attorney" to use my laptop computer!), on a screen that covered a whole wall. Then he shocked the jury with these words, "See, Al Petty would have to grow to be bigger than Southwest Airlines, General Motors and Prudential Insurance or he could not honor his outstanding contracts. Why, he would have to generate $920,000,000,000, that's Nine Hundred Twenty BILLION Dollars, to pay the "investors" all he promised to pay them!!!

    You can imagine that a juror, sitting close to an individual such as me, as we were in that court room, could never, in their wildest imagination, believe that this fellow sitting next to them could generate $920B and become bigger than Southwest Airlines, General Motors and Prudential Insurance! To the jurors, sitting there like "open beaked birds" in a nest waiting to be fed, they ate this up and agreed with Cunningham that this Al Petty guy HAD to be thrown in prison and kept there till he died-that otherwise he would ruin the lives of millions of persons. The FACT that I had done nothing but enhance the lives of the Business Owners who had been in TeleCom2000 long enough for their contract to start paying; enabling many to get off disability, Social Security, food stamps, welfare; as well as to pay off credit cards, mortgages, automobiles; pay for grandkids' educations, etc; plus the untold thousands of lives that have been enhanced by my ministry and the music business, as well as the FACT that the prosecution had not found me guilty of breaking even ONE law; this meant nothing to the jury after Cunningham "Shocked the facts out of the court room" with his $920B Lie! In a nutshell, that $920B lie is why I'm writing you from prison, and why your financial future and hopes and dreams have been shattered!

    Considering all this, what do you think of this idea? There is an organization that has set many innocent victims free. This organization is mentioned in the book I recommend called "The Innocent Man". You can call it up at "http://ipoftexas.org/". They were originally organized by Barry Scheck to free innocent persons thru DNA. However, "The Innocence Project has expanded greatly to free persons like myself. Reynold Grove, one of our people just notified me that he had contacted their offices in Texas. Now, what if you and many other former members of The TeleCom2000 network contacted them; told them you heard of them through Al Petty, as well as the book, "The Innocent Man", and that you were a member of a former corporation called "The TeleCom2000 Network". Then  explain to them that the government had "stolen your money, future and business", as well as thrown the owner and founder of your company, Al Petty, into prison, and that he is currently serving his 8th year of a 24 1/2 year sentence. Tell them you believe that the Jury was shocked into convicting this innocent business man although he honored every contractual commitment, including your own, and that he has committed no crime or broken any law. You could mention that the prosecution used the "Shock the Jury" strategy that John Grishom mentioned in "The Innocent Man" to convict "the innocent man", Al Petty; i.e., the Prosecution and their expert witness joined in a conspiracy  and collaborated to produce a $920B lie to shock the jury into believing that, although Al Petty had-at 70 years of age-never had even a brush with the law, much less had he committed no crime, that he must be locked away for life to prevent him from committing a crime in the FUTURE.     EVERYTHING, once they put you in prison, that you try to accomplish in order to get out is a long shot, as we have together found out. But I do believe in my heart that these people can, and will, make every effort and succeed in getting me back into your "real world" with you.
